There are so many things to be thankful for in this life and yet there is a deceiver that would have us believe differently.  The deceiver wants us to be alone, but as believers, Jesus has said, “…and I will be with you always, even until the end of this age.”  Matthew 28:20b  The choice is always ours.  We can believe the truth or be deceived by the lie.

When Paul wrote letters to the different churches he would always start with for what he was thankful.  Maybe that is how we should start every day.  My son recently made a comment which shows a lot of maturity.  Even though the circumstances were somewhat depressing for the day he said, “I’m choosing to focus on the positive.”  And there you have it; that is what we should do too.  Focus on the positive because there are many things to be thankful for in this life.

One day when we are in heaven, we will no longer grieve the things of this life.  Our days will be filled with and full of thanksgiving.  Thanks, son for sharing those words.
